Qurrat-ul-Ain Haider was an Urdu novelist and short story writer, an academic, and a journalist. Aag Ka Duriya is a remarkable story that moves from the fourth century BC to the post Independence period in India and Pakistan. Her other books are as blew: Mere Bhi Sanam Khane, Safina e Gham e Dil, Patjhar ki Awaz, Raushni ki Raftar, Chaye ke Bagh, Dilruba, Sita Haran, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Na Kijo, Kar e Jahan Daraz Hai, Bi-Chuhiya, Aakhir-e-Shab ke Hamsafar.
